What is diatomite?

Diatomite is formed from the fossilised skeletons of diatoms, microscopic single cell aquatic plants from a marine environment, fresh or salt water.

‘Dia-Min’ (R) diatomite is of freshwater origin and is a lightweight, non-toxic, porous mineral which is a rich source of plant available silica, ideal for promoting growth in horticultural applications.
